Overview:

I didn't grow up playing mahjong, but I knew it was part of my culture, and building it was a way to reconnect. It's a four-player game for the browser, played against three computer opponents with the full 144-tile set. I designed the tiles myself and drew them in code, so the game loads fast and stays sharp at any size. Three difficulty levels change how the opponents think, from casual play to tracking what everyone has discarded. A practice mode turns the other hands face up, removes the timers, and suggests which tile to let go, which is how I learned the game while making it.
